Professional Massage Training Courses in Shipley, Bradford
Train professionally with LUCEZEN Advanced Bodywork & Training Academy in Shipley, Bradford, West Yorkshire.
I offer hands-on massage training courses for beginners and qualified therapists, including Complete Massage Foundation Training, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Brazilian Sculpting, Hot Stone Massage and Indian Head Massage.
My training is different from large classroom-based courses. Groups are intentionally kept small so you receive proper hands-on teaching, individual guidance and the time to actually practise what you're learning.
Theory, anatomy and home study are completed around your practical training, allowing us to spend as much of our studio time as possible working hands-on.
Whether you're looking to become a massage therapist, start your own massage business or add specialist treatments to the services you already offer, LUCEZEN training is designed to give you the skills and confidence to take what you've learned into real client treatments.
Training takes place in Shipley, Bradford, with students welcome from Leeds, Bingley, Keighley, Halifax and across Yorkshire and the UK.
Certificate on Completion
Once all practical and home study elements are completed, you receive a LuceZen certificate. IPHM accredited.
Every Minute In The Room Is Hands-On
All theory, anatomy and study is completed in your own time before you arrive. So every minute in the studio with Lucy is spent doing — not listening. You leave each day ready to work.
Home Study Sets You Up To Succeed
Structured study materials are provided ahead of each session. You come prepared, which means the in-person time goes further and your skills develop faster.
Want to Become a Massage Therapist?
You don't need to already work in the wellness industry to begin training with LUCEZEN.
My Complete Massage Foundation Course in Bradford is designed for complete beginners who want to learn professional massage and start building the skills needed to work confidently with clients.
From there, you can continue developing your skills through specialist training in deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage, hot stone massage and Indian head massage, or complete my Signature 5-Day Intensive Training.
Training isn't about memorising a massage routine. I want you to understand the body, understand why you're using a technique and have the confidence to adapt your treatment to the person in front of you.
That's what makes a good therapist — and that's what I teach.

Want to train as a massage therapist but don't know where to start? This is the complete LUCEZEN training experience.
The Signature 5-Day Intensive brings my core massage and specialist training together into one hands-on programme. You don't need any previous massage experience — we start with the foundations and build your knowledge, technique and confidence throughout the five days.
Rather than learning one basic massage routine, you'll learn a range of treatments and understand how and why different techniques are used, so you can adapt your treatments to the individual client.
What you'll learn
Massage Foundations
Learn how to safely and confidently perform a professional full-body massage, including massage movements, sequencing, pressure, body positioning, muscular anatomy, client consultation, contraindications and aftercare.
Deep Tissue Massage
Learn how to work deeper without simply applying more force. You'll practise using your hands, forearms and elbows safely and effectively to work with muscular tension and common areas of tightness.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Understand the lymphatic system and learn a full lymphatic drainage treatment, including the correct direction, rhythm and pressure required for this very different style of massage.
Lymphatic Sculpting
Learn how lymphatic drainage can be combined with more dynamic sculpting techniques to create a treatment you can offer separately alongside traditional lymphatic drainage.
Hot Stone Massage
Learn how to safely use heated stones within a massage, including temperature and heat safety, stone placement and using the stones actively as massage tools.
Indian Head Massage
Learn a complete treatment for the head, scalp, neck and shoulders, based on the Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage techniques I trained in while studying in India.
You'll also learn
Anatomy & physiology relevant to massage
Muscles and fascia
Client consultations and treatment planning
Contraindications and when you should not treat
Therapist body mechanics to protect your own body

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE SPECIALIST TRAING DAY
1 DAY · IN PERSON · SHIPLEY, BRADFORD · SPECIALIST TRAINING
IPHM Accredited · Insurable · Professional Certificate Included
Learn two very different ways of working with the lymphatic system: traditional lymphatic drainage massage and the LUCEZEN sculpting approach.
Lymphatic drainage is completely different from conventional massage. Pressure, rhythm, direction and sequencing all matter, so this course starts by helping you understand the lymphatic system before teaching you how to work with it practically.
What you'll learn
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
What the lymphatic system is and what it does
Lymph nodes, vessels, drainage pathways and territories
How lymph moves through the body
Correct lymphatic drainage pressure, rhythm and direction
Preparing the lymphatic system before treatment
Full-body lymphatic drainage techniques
Lymphatic facial massage
How to sequence a complete treatment
Lymphatic Sculpting
How sculpting differs from traditional lymphatic drainage
More dynamic lymphatic and sculpting movements
Body contouring techniques
How to combine lymphatic and sculpting techniques appropriately
Creating a dedicated sculpting treatment for your clients
Safety is a major part of this course
You'll also learn contraindications, red flags, client consultation, when lymphatic drainage is appropriate and, importantly, when you should not treat.
This is a general lymphatic drainage and sculpting course and is not a post-operative lymphatic drainage qualification. Post-surgery work requires additional specialist knowledge and training.
You'll leave understanding the lymphatic system rather than simply memorising a massage sequence, giving you the confidence to safely introduce lymphatic drainage and sculpting treatments into your practice.
Please note payments need to be made in full before the course start date. This includes payment plans.

Learn two separate treatments in one practical training day, giving you two additional services that you can add to your treatment menu.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage isn't simply about placing warm stones on the body. You'll learn how to use the stones as part of the massage itself, combining heat with hands-on massage techniques.

Correct working temperatures
Heat safety and contraindications
Stone placement
Holding and working safely with heated stones
Using stones actively as massage tools
Techniques for the back, legs, arms and feet
Combining hands-on massage with stone work
Creating a flowing full-body hot stone treatment
Cleaning and caring for your equipment
Indian Head Massage
You'll also learn a complete Indian Head Massage treatment based on the Ayurvedic tradition I studied during my training in India.
You'll learn:
The background and principles of Indian Head Massage
Massage techniques for the scalp and head
Neck and shoulder techniques
Working around common areas of upper-body tension
Pressure, rhythm and sequencing
How to create a complete Indian Head Massage treatment
Contraindications and client consultation
How to adapt the treatment for different clients
By the end of the day, you'll understand how to offer Hot Stone Massage and Indian Head Massage as individual treatments, as well as how elements can be incorporated into your existing massage services where appropriate.
Who is it for?
Massage therapists wanting to expand their treatment menu and offer clients more relaxing and specialist treatment options.

A maximum of six students per group. This is a deliberate and important part of how LuceZen trains. Small groups mean personal, hands-on attention throughout the day — not a demonstration to watch from a distance. Every student receives real feedback, real correction, and real guidance.
-
All courses include a full printed manual, lifetime online access to all learning resources, structured home study, and a certificate of completion. Flexible payment options are available across all courses.
-
Yes. That is the standard every LuceZen training day is held to. The goal is not to give you a certificate and send you away to figure it out. By the end of your course you will have the technique, the clinical understanding, the client communication skills, and the confidence to offer the treatment professionally and start earning from it. Theory and anatomy are completed at home so that every hour in the studio is dedicated entirely to hands-on practice.
-
All courses are taught by Lucy — founder of LuceZen, qualified sports therapist, advanced massage therapist, and IPHM-accredited trainer. Lucy trained in India in the Ayurvedic tradition and has years of clinical experience across deep tissue, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, hot stone, Indian head massage, and more. She works with clients every day in the same studio where she teaches — so everything she passes on comes from active, current practice.
